Model of the hull of HMS Pandora, the Royal Navy warship dispatched in 1790 to the
South Pacific in pursuit of the infamous Bounty mutineers.  The ship was wrecked on the
Great Barrier Reef off Far North Queensland in 1791 after recapturing some of the mutineers
in Tahiti.  The shipwreck was discovered 1977 and the museum contains many items recovered
in the archeological work.
